Just finished one round of three on this new book for Hellfire Publishing... I think Editing is where the real work is.
Deleting things you wrote, poured blood sweat and cliched tears into is tough. There's quite a bit of trust involved. Hopefully the editors know what will make my story better, and maybe make it sell. Hopefully I conveyed what was in my head well enough for them to see the same (or very similar) story I envisioned.
How much of your writing is up for the interpretation of others? Depends on why you write.
Isn't that the beauty of reading? No matter how well things are defined by the author, each reader will paint a slightly different picture.
Each version of my story may be better than my own on some level. Something to think about.
