Could it be a demon? "Demon" means simply 'messenger'. This critter seems to show up whenever the worst is coming. They aren't just tied to Pt. Pleasant or Chief Cornstalk (look it up!)... Similar sightings have been reported throughout the ages all over the world. The only thing the sightings seem to have in common is their proximity to disastrous and deadly events.
Is it possible that something is out there overseeing these disasters? Something ancient that takes pride in its job. Is this thing responsible for the mayhem? Or is it there to warn of these things coming? Is it a hallucination created in some human minds to help make sense of terrible situations?
More questions than answers... as usual.
