So how does a holiday celebrating peace and goodwill fit into the life of someone who writes gruesome and gory? Simple. Without the most terrible of terrible, the good would just seem blah. We need some controversy, some sad, even a little horrible in our lives to make the good times that much more precious. As unfortunate as the bad times are, they help us focus on what is important.
I hope everyone's holidays put the focus on the good times this year and give a well-deserved break from the harsh and the unlucky.
Peace!
Dan
