Hmmm...
IMDB.com says "A cybercrime investigator tracks a man suspected of force-feeding women to death."
I wish that somehow encompassed the girth of this flick (pun intended)... This is disturbing stuff. I'm only upset that it has escaped my radar for five years. Hail Netflix!
This little shocker comes from Brett Leonard and although he loses his way several times during the course of the movie, it is no holds barred. Sex, violence, fetish, fetish sex, violent sex... oh, and maggots. Did I mention cannibalism? Wait, is it cannibalism if the 'victim' is still alive... and what if the victim is also eating?
I've seen plenty of disturbing movies in my time, even sought them out... but this one made me uncomfortable. It won't win any awards, but the acting was solid, the concept horrifying, and the ending satisfying... all the stuff in between was like an extra greasy cheeseburger you don't need, but some naked dude is trying to feed you.
(That'll make sense after you watch).
I'd say on a scale of 1 to 5, this one's a happy meal. A guilty pleasure that leaves you smiling... and just a little queasy.
I write creepy. Sometimes he writes me back.
